Cardo Pimp My Ride | The Cars of Coco Martin

Published

on

Coco Martin is one of the Philippines’ hardest working actors. Let’s take a peek at some of his most prized cars and get a little green with envy.

Coco Martin is one of the Philippine’s hottest actors. With multiple endorsement deals under his belt, TV Shows and Blockbuster movies, it totally follows that he gets to buy whatever he wants, and the guy is a total car nut, and why not?

His total estimated net worth according to some trusted sources is at staggering USD 20 million, in Philippine pesos that would round down to a modest Php 1 Billion. With all that cash he has one of the most impressive car collections in Philippine show business and he’s not shy to share these cars on his Instagram account.

We’ll be showing you a short list of his prized cars and if this list is any indication, you know that he’s holding back from his full catalog of wheels. If you’re ready to be jealous and green with envy, here’s a list of Coco Martin’s most vaunted cars.

Toyota FJ40

The Toyota FJ40 is Toyota’s classic off-road dirt machine available from 1960 until 1984 internationally and was actually still being made in Brazil until 2001. The fact that its production of one particular model was manufactured for more than 40 years is a testament to the cult following and long-lasting appeal of the Toyota FJ40. The dimensions were inspired from the similarly designed Jeep CJ available during the same time.

Coco Martin is probably the only person who can look good while trekking, just like the car

You can find a good specimen of the FJ40 online for around Php 500,000. Given that this is a decade-old car, you will have to cough up with so much more to restore and kit it the way Coco Martin does. He has a pristine example and isn’t scared of taking it off-roading, according to his Instagram feed.

It’s a teal colored model with dark blue livery similar to camo stripes on the sides. It’s not the most practical of vehicles but, what good car really is? Besides, he’s Coco Martin and he deserves to take this car off-road if he wants to.

Toyota FJ Cruiser

If you’re beginning to notice a trend right here, you may be on to something. Coco Martin seems to love his Toyotas so much, that he also has his FJ40’s successor, the ever so popular Toyota FJ Cruiser. The FJ Cruiser was introduced in the 2005 North America International Auto Show and due to popular demand was released right in the following year.

Coco Martin’s total estimated net worth is USD 20 Million or Php 1 Billion

The FJ Cruiser was underpinned and set on the same platform as the Land Cruiser Prado but featured a stocky but large body frame on a short wheelbase which is a throwback to the original FJ40. It is powered by a single-engine variant, the 1GR-FE which is a dual-overhead-cam 4 liter V6 that produces 240hp and 377Nm of torque. It was upgraded starting the 2010 model to 260hp thanks to variable valve timing.

The latest Toyota cars price list suggests that a brand-new and stock model will set you back for a cool Php 2,048,000 and that’s without the custom kits and parts attached to Coco’s Car. He did not specify what modifications he’s done to the car but his model is wrapped in matte camo livery with apparently a lift kit and upgraded body kits. If ever you see this rolling down the street, you better get your camera ready for a selfie!

Brabus Mercedes G63

Brabus is a high-performance aftermarket tuning garage specializing mostly in Mercedes Benz vehicles. Coco Martin is fortunate enough to have his Mercedes Benz G63 AMG spruced up with the Brabus Touch.

This would be Cardo’s car if he would have just given up and joined the bad guys

This luxury SUV is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces a ridiculous 537hp and a neck-snapping 760Nm of torque. Looking at the previous models on this list of Coco Martin’s cars, we guess he also needed a car to reflect his status symbol. Brabus does not locally sell the unit but if you wake up one day feeling opulent, you can have one for a cool Php 12,000,000.

We doubt you can look good rolling up to the red-carpet with Toyotas anyway. But the Mercedes Benz AMG should do the trick.

Inkas Sentry

It’s fine if you haven’t heard of the Inkas Sentry, that’s perfectly fine and you’re not supposed to anyway. Inkas is a Military Defense provider that specializes in security services and they just so happened that they manufactured a bad-ass MPV. It has B7 level of armor protection, which is one of the highest out there and able to withstand projectile fire from 50 caliber armor-piercing bullets.

Maybe if Coco Martin’s character in Ang Probinsyano had this car, no one would ever mess with him

Not that Coco Martin would actually need a vehicle like this but it’s best to be safe than sorry right? Although it is reassuring to know that if worse comes to worst you can rely on your car to survive the zombie apocalypse.

If you are interested with this level of rugged luxury the only way to get it is to have it imported and with that, the “starting” price is at Php 10 Million pesos for a bare-bones unit. Looking at his, bare-bones doesn’t seem to be the case.

Pulling the vehicle is a crazy 6.7-liter turbo diesel engine that creates a seemingly “modest” 390hp but is made up for with 1085Nm of torque! We can only imagine what this would be used for, probably some extreme grocery-shopping?

1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 Fastback

It’s not all about the SUVs for Mr. Coco Martin. No self-respecting car lover with money can’t have at least one muscle car in their collection, and what a specimen this is!

What you see here is a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 with a Fastback body. If the body style seems familiar, it’s the same model as Nicholas Cage’s car, “Eleonor” in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. While the Ford Mustang price list for regular versions starts from P2,838,000 in the local market, this limited-edition Mustang is believed to be priced at $219,000, equivalent to roughly P11.3 million.

The car Coco Martin uses when he needs to get his Chicken Inasal Fix

It’s just fitting as an actor for Coco Martin and a car enthusiast to choose that car as it is Nicholas Cage’s “Unicorn” car, the one that always gets away from him and the car you can consider as the protagonist of the movie. Assuming he didn’t get Nicholas Cage’s assistance to get this ride, you’d have to separate yourself from the sum of Php 12 – 15 million to get the privilege.

Powering the vehicle is a big-block 7.0 liter V8 just the way it’s supposed to. Official figures of the car are 335hp and 597Nm of torque. We say “official” because according to some top automobile news websites such as Philkotse.com, it was said that those figures are severely underrated, adding more to the car’s mystique.

There aren’t that many of these models in the country and if you do see one cruising down the highway, it’s most likely Coco behind the wheel.

These are but a few of Coco Martin’s cars that he was gracious enough to share with his fans. We are sure there are more cars in his garage and is holding back to spare our jealousy. Truth be told, he’s one of the hardest working actors in the industry right now and these are but the fruits of his labor.

If you were Coco Martin or had his money, what cars would we see in your garage?
