Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios film “Spider-Man: Far From Home” starring Tom Holland has officially earned an estimated amount of P292.5-million during its debut weekend across 678 cinemas from July 3 to 7.

Because of this, Far From Home is hailed as the All-Time Biggest Opening Weekend for a Columbia pictures Title, All-Time Biggest Opening Weekend for a Spider-Man film (garnering 33% more than prequel Spider-Man: Homecoming), and All-Time Biggest July Opening Weekend.

The most popular cinemas to host the movie was SM Mall of Asia, which earned P8.74-M, SM Megamall, which earned P8.72-M, and Trinoma, which earned P8.1-M. Among the top 10 cinemas include SM North Edsa, Power Plant, Glorietta IV, Greenbelt III, Alabang Town Center, Vista Mall Evia, SM Aura.

On a global scale, the film totalled $580 million alone in its first 10 days of release. Boxoffice.com chief analyst Shawn Robbins tells CNN Business, “Spider-Man gave this summer the jolt it needed. Far From Home’s’ ability to win over audiences is further proof that audiences are just looking for good movies, sequels or otherwise.” He adds, “Moviegoers aren’t burnt out on Spider-Man or superhero movies, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe clearly has promising life beyond the end of their first era in ‘Endgame.’”

Among the cast members of the film includes Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr, Marisa Tomei, and Jake Gyllenhaal. “Spider-Man: Far From Home” was directed by Jon Watts, based on the comic book by Marvel Comic Book Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
