21 job fairs on Independence Day
MANILA — Local and overseas employment opportunities will be offered at the Independence Day Job and Business Fairs 2019 on Wednesday, June 12, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In an advisory, the DOLE said there will be 21 job fairs to be held in 15 regions nationwide.
Top vacancies for local employment are production machine operators, production worker/factory workers, customer service representatives, call center agents, sewers, sales clerks, cashiers, delivery crews, service crews, and marketing officers.
Available jobs overseas include cleaners, professional nurses (general), waiters/waitresses, service crews, company drivers, registered midwives, staff nurses, english teachers (Japan), janitress, barista, technicians (general), and nursing aides.
The job fairs will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The DOLE also advised those who are looking for employment to bring with them the following requirements: resume (bring multiple copies); 2 x 2 ID photo; photocopy of training certificates; PRC license (if applicable); diploma (if applicable); and certificate of employment (for previously employed).
In the National Capital Region (NCR), jobseekers may visit San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila.
The other venues where local and overseas jobs are also being offered at the Sky Zone, Porta Vaga Mall, Upper Session Road, Baguio City (Cordillera Administrative Region); Peoples Gymnasium, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (Cagayan Valley); Ayala Malls, Harbor Point, Subic Freeport Zone (Central Luzon); 888 Premier Mall, Bacolod City (Western Visayas); Provincial Covered Court, Catbalogan City, Samar (Eastern Visayas).
In Mindanao, the job fair venues are: KCC Mall de Zamboanga, Gov. Camins Road, Zamboanga City (Zamboanga Peninsula); ATRIUM, Limketkai Center, Cagayan de Oro City (Northern Mindanao); NCC Mall Buhangin, Km.
7, Tigatto Road, Buhangin, Davao City (Davao Region); Trade Hall SM City Gensan, General Santos City (Soccsksargen); and PLGU Training Center, Capitol, Butuan City (Caraga).
For Ilocos Region, the events will be held at the Nepo Mall, Dagupan City; Candon Civic Center, Candon City, Ilocos Sur; and Union Christian College, San Fernando City, La Union.
In Central Visayas, there will be job fairs in Cebu City Sports Complex/ Abellana National School; Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu; and Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center, Dumaguete City.
For Calabarzon and Mimaropa, the local and overseas employment fairs will be held at Pavilion Mall, Biñan City, Laguna; and Liwasang Aguinaldo, Kawit, Cavite and at the San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; and Odiongan, Romblon, respectively.
DOLE has not yet issued an announcement on the venue of job fairs in the Bicol Region and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
