Filmmaker Quark Henares, who is the son of celebrity doctor Vicki Belo and former partner Atom Henares, marries Tarsier Records singer-songwriter Bianca Yuzon in a beachside ceremony at Alila Villas Uluwatu resort in Bali, Indonesia last Saturday, May 25.
Besides Quark’s parents being present at the ceremony, the entourage also included sister Cristalle Belo who walked alongside husband Justin Pitt and son Hunter as well as three-year-old Scarlett Belo. Iza Calzado, Tim Yap, Mich Dulce, Glaiza de Castro, Kate Torralba, Joyce Jimenez, Jugs Jugueta, Andee Aguirre-Jugueta, Garlic Garcia, Karylle, Yael Yuzon, Christian Bautista, and Kat Ramnani were present as well, all using the hashtag ‘QBecome1’ for images of the event.
To commemorate her firstborn’s marriage, Vicki even immediately shares a post to her 1.9 million followers for her firstborn from the celebration captioned, “I might not have been the best mother, but you have always been the best son. Breathing him in before he becomes Bianca Yuzon’s forever.”
Sister Cristalle also adds a video on social media of the newlyweds stating, “Just the sweetest vows you will ever hear! For those that don’t know, Quark Henares is such a good writer that he won a Palanca Award when he was 19 years old!?”
The reception, with motif of color yellow, was decorated with hanging greenery and lanterns. As guests were waiting for dinner, they could play games like giant jengga. During the program, the couple also treated their guests to a rendition of the song “Bring Me To Life” by Evanescence.
The couple first met back in 2015 and announced their engagement three years later. In a previous interview with ABS-CBN, they shared that they’re “both passionate about film and music,” stating, “We love to explore new places and eat our way through them at the same time. We also happen to have the same sense of humor, making fun of each other, and quotes from our favorite comics, which sometimes only we get and have to keep to ourselves because laughing would be totally inappropriate in certain situations.”
