Bataan native Bea Patricia Magtanong, who is vying for an opportunity to represent the country in the international pageantry scene, is revealed to be among the 1,800 examinees to pass the 2018 Bar Exams.

Patch is among the 22.07 percent from the 8,155 lawyer hopefuls who succeeded in the bar exams that took place at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) campus for four consecutive Sundays last November. Last Friday, May 3, the Supreme Court released the results.

In response to her success, Patch posts a photo with her father captioned, “Atty. Magtanong and Atty. Magtanong,” adding in Filipino, “For my family, for my God, and for my country!

The 24-year-old graduated as a Business Economics graduate at the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman in Quezon City. She then pursued her law degree at the same educational facility, graduating last July 2018.

As soon as the results were announced, Patch returned to her alma mater to attend the testimonial dinner in Malcolm Hall. In a photo posted on her Instagram page comparing the event to “coming home triumphant after battle,” captioned, “Will never forget the happiest, proudest, most amazing day of my life! Also, a bonus to celebrate with my profs and friends!”

Days prior to the announcement of bar passers, Patch tells her more than 28,000 followers, “This is the year I make my dreams come true. Manifesting it to the universe!”

According to the official Binibining Pilipinas website, the model “grew up idolizing her father,” inspiring her pursuit to enter the field of law. Her advocacy in the national pageant is “to promote the rights of prisoners, maintaining that even they have rights to humane treatment.” Patch is among the favorites among the 40 candidates to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown during the coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2019, which will happen on June 9, 2019, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
