Filipino 90’s babies are currently shaking the social media universe as it was announced that a man with a “beautiful soul” is coming to town!

Following the concert announcement of Irish boy band Westlife and American vocal group The Backstreet Boys in the country, Manila Concert Scene on Saturday, March 30, announced on its Facebook page that Jesse McCartney, the teen heartthrob who had girls swooning over him in the early 2000s, will be heading to Manila on July 13, 2019 to serenade his Filipino fans at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

Ticket prices are as follows: Balcony (P800), Loge (P 1,600), Orchestra (P3,500), and VIP (P4,500). Tickets will go on sale on April 3, 2019 via Ticketnet.

Upon learning this, netizens kept on tagging their friends on the Manila Concert Scene’s post, informing and inviting them to the upcoming concert.

People on Twitterverse, meanwhile, were filled with nostalgia, re-living their Jesse McCartney fangirl and fanboy phase during their elementary and high school days.

Meanwhile, Twitter user @KimberlySP18 wrote, “Jesse McCartney Live in Manila and the 13-year-old me is crying cause I’ve always wanted to see him perform live.

Another Twitter user, @ifntsoonagi, on the other hand, said, “Ahhh~ Jesse McCartney in Manila? Omg, I stan him way back in my Elementary days. Beautiful Soul will never get old for me.2019 is really that throwback year for my childhood’s favorite bands and singers.”

In another tweet, he added, “I remember when I was in grade 5, whenever it’s our break time, we will turn on the TV and put the channel in MYX and Beautiful Soul is always in the Top Songs.”

Last November 2018, the American singer-songwriter shared with InqPOP in an exclusive interview his desire to hold a concert in Manila.

“If the fans ask for it enough, then I would like to come out there next year, if possible. You know, I have a lot of followers on Instagram and Twitter from the Philippines so I know that they are out there. And hopefully, next year – that’s my goal!” he said.

Jesse is known for his hit songs “Beautiful Soul,” “Leavin’,” “Just So You know,” “Body Language,” “How Do You Sleep,” and more.
