Nineteen-year-old Kapamilya actress and former Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7 housemate Heaven Peralejo and Jimuel Pacquiao, also 19, and son of boxer/politician Senator Manny Pacquiao have gone public that they are officially dating.
In an interview, Jimuel tells ABS-CBN News in Filipino, “We just want to be honest because there are a lot of people who are asking.” Heaven adds, “It’s because it’s hard to hide.”
The young couple tells the story of how they met, the Star Magic talent explaining, “Two years ago, my mom and I were at Greenbelt then [Jimuel] saw us, his family saw us, and his cousins saw us then they asked for a photo.”
Then the People’s Champ’s son continues, “Then one year later, we meet again at the same place. It was also coincidentally the same month.” He chips, “Actually, church was the first place we’d go out,” Heaven then stating, “That was our bonding every week. We go to church every week. After that, we’d go to dinner. Then, he’d bring me home.”
The two elaborate on their many similarities, Jimuel saying, “We have the same vibe. We have a lot of things in common like food, rollercoasters, things like that – we both like” Heaven further sharing, “We’re both adventurous.” To conclude, they both add, “What is most important for this to be in the right path is God is in the center.”
As for the eight-division world champion, he openly shares with the public as well that he approves of his son’s relationship, stating, “It’s okay because he’s already nineteen.”
Last month, the athlete’s eldest son expressed his desire to follow in his dad’s boxing footsteps, spotted sparring during an exhibition match. However, the “Fighter of the Decade” expressed not even having gloves and equipment at home to prevent his children from getting into the industry. He shares with ABS-CBN News, “It pains me that [Jimuel] is boxing because I know how hard it is.” However, he said that the 19-year old “really wants to do it” because he also “wants to be a representative of the country as an athlete” someday.
