American Indie-pop band LANY, which consists of trio Paul Klein, Jake Goss, and Les Priest, has already sold out the Manila leg of their “Malibu Nights” Headline World Tour in hours, announcing afterward of their second date in the Philippines.

The concert, sponsored by MMI Live, Karpos Multimedia, and Live Nation, is in honor of the band’s second album of the same name and is happening at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City on July 24, 2019. Tickets for the event went on sale at noontime on February 21 and sold out within hours, with LANY general manager Rupert Lincoln posting on social media immediately after, “If the arena sold out already, don’t worry – we reserved a second night just in case. I’m waiting for an update.”

Three hours later, MMI Live announced that the second night will officially be on July 25 at the MOA Arena as well, tickets available on Friday, February 22.

Worldwide tour “Malibu Nights” has 100 dates going across 35 cities and kicks off in April running for seven months throughout Europe, North America, and Asia. The Manila stop is LANY’s fourth visit ever to the country, the most recent being last April 5 and 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

LANY is known for tracks “ILYSB,” “Super Far,” and “13,” from their self-debut album which reached number four in the Billboard Top Rock Albums chart in 2017. Billboard Magazine praised their new body of work, “Malibu Nights,” as “a sleek and tender document of a thoroughly modern band hitting all the right references for 2018,” the album’s biggest hit a track entitled “Thru These Tears.”

Rolling Stone magazine describes LANY’s most recent tour as “enigmatic frontman Paul Jason Klein carried the sea of fans through his passionate delivery of the starry-eyed, gushy pop tracks, losing himself in smooth dance breaks.
