After two years off the big screen, Kapamilya stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s newest film Alone/Together on Thursday, February 13 is in cinemas nationwide. However, the day before, they had an exclusive red carpet screening at Trinoma Cinema 7 in Quezon City, where not only fans but fellow celebrities flocked to watch the work of art by Black Sheep productions and ABS-CBN Films.

The couple, known for their tandem “LizQuen,” stunned their guests as 21-year-old Liza wore a plaid black-and-white dress and 26-year-old Enrique wore a red blazer overlapping an all-black outfit. On and off-screen couple Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia were present as well, Julia recently returning to the Philippines after vacationing in both Mexico and South America. Among the other celebrities present include: Carlo Aquino, Maymay Entrata, Marco Gallo, Vivoree Esclito, Charles Kieron, Ylona Garcia, Kira Balinger, Ria Atayde, Belle Mariano, Michelle Vito, JC Alcantara, Dominic Roque, and Rayt Carreon. Those who were there, who were also part of the film were director Antoinette Jadaone, actress Sylvia Sanchez, and child actress Xia Vigor.

Alone/Together features the love story of Christine, portrayed by Liza, and Raf, portrayed by Enrique, who are ex-college sweethearts and meet again during their adult life. Five years after their breakup post-graduation, they are haunted by the “what-ifs” of life if they had decided to stay together. A handful of the scenes were shot in the campus of University of the Philippines-Diliman, while the entire cast and crew flew to New York as well for the project.

A day after its official release, Director and Writer of the movie Antoinette thanked the film’s supporters on her social media, saying in Filipino, “Thank you for everyone who watched on the first day! Especially my friends who I didn’t even force to watch, but still went on the first day.” On opening day alone, Alone/Together has already made more than P21 million.
