MANILA — Three of the eight Certificates of Canvass (COCs) of the recently-concluded second plebiscite for the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) in the provinces of Lanao del Norte and North Cotabato last February 6, arrived in Manila Friday afternoon.

The COCs of Carmen, Tulunan and Pigcawayan from North Cotabato were received by the reception group of the National Plebiscite Board of Canvassers (NPBOC) at the third floor of the Palacio del Gobernador Building in Intramuros, Manila.

The remaining five COCs that have yet to arrive in Manila are from Lanao del Norte; and the municipalities of Aleosan, Kabacan, Midsayap and Pikit.

On Thursday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec), sitting as the NPBOC, reset the start of the canvassing of the results of the plebiscite on Monday.

The areas that participated in Wednesday’s referendum are looking to be included in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, which was created by the January 21 plebiscite through the ratification of the BOL.
