Foreigner dies after jumping off NAIA-3 4th floor

MANILA — A Chinese-American national died after jumping off the fourth level of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Thursday night, authorities confirmed on Friday.

The fatality was identified as 69-year-old Shau Chang Yee.

According to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Shau was given first aid and was rushed to the Makati Medical Center.

Shau died of a basal skull fracture as a result of severe head trauma.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Initial findings bared that Shau arrived in the country from Hong Kong last January 28.
