The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School on Friday, December 20, said it is already investigating the viral video of its two students who were caught fighting inside the campus.

“The Ateneo Junior High School is dealing with this matter seriously beginning with an immediate investigation that ensured the moment the report reached us,” the university said. on its statement.

The video, that surfaced online on Thursday, shows a male student challenging his schoolmate to engage in a fight inside a restroom.

Student 1 was heard asking Student 2, “Gusto mong mabugbog o gusto mong mawala ‘yung dignidad mo? Pili ka (Do you want to be beaten or lose your dignity? You choose).”

Student 1 kept on asking Student 2, until the latter chose to be beaten.

“Oh, bugbog sabi niya. Tapos na sana ‘to. Game. Kasi kung pinili niya ‘yung dignidad, papaluhurin ko siya, tapos hahalikan niya ‘yung pareho kong sapatos tapos papahalikan ko sa kanya ‘yung b*yag ko (Oh, he said he wants to be beaten. This should have ended. Game. Because if he chose dignity, I will make him kneel, kiss my shoes, then kiss my d*ck),” Student 1 said.

The two students were later on seen fighting in the video that led Student 2 have a bloodied nose.

In its statement, Ateneo said the viral video “depicts an evident act of violence that constitutes a serious violation of disciplinary misconduct.”

“We express our concern also about the risks associated with sharing the video, online and in social media groups. Not only has the privacy rights of these minors, been breached but it has also provoked some reactions that do little to help the school in dealing appropriately with the incident,” it said.

While thanking concerned individuals that informed them about the incident, the university urged the public to help them by “putting a stop to the indiscriminate spreading of the video.”

The student who initiated the fight in the video uploaded by a certain RE Rogue on Facebook is now earning a lot of criticisms from netizens.
