MANILA – President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed two new Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) Board of Trustees-members nearly four months after firing the entire NPF board and management over alleged disadvantageous lease contract.

Duterte signed on Nov. 27 the appointment papers of Ruth Marie Isip Equipaje and Cesar de Guzman Aljama, who will both serve until June 30, 2019.

Equipaje and Aljama will serve the “unexpired term of office” of Alicia Manuel and Caroline Ngsuy Lansang.

Meanwhile, Malacañang also released the appointment paper of Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) board member Aileen Lizada as new Civil Service Commission (CSC) commissioner.

Lizada will serve as CSC commissioner until Feb. 2, 2025, according to the document signed by Duterte last Nov. 9.

Duterte appointed Waldo Reyes Carpio, brother of his daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte’s husband Manases Carpio, as undersecretary of the Department of Agriculture.

He also named new undersecretary, Carim Lawi Panumpang, and assistant secretary, Allan Batarra Gepty, to the Department of Trade Industry.

The President also nominated Teresita Cruz Daza as ambassador to Chile with concurrent jurisdiction over Ecuador and Peru.

Other new appointees include Alexander Bangsoy as board member of Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC-13); Reynaldo Villarojo Ola-a as Director IV of National Security Council; Corinna Frances Okol Cabanilla as Director III of the Commission on Higher Education; and, Roy Morales Villa as board member of Philippine National Railways.
