South Korean actor Park Bo Gum got Filipino fans excited after announcing that Manila is one of his stops for his 2019 Asia Tour, which begins on January 26, 2019.

According to Blossom Entertainment, Park Bo Gum’s company, his first visit will be in Seoul on January 26, followed by Japan on February 3, Bangkok on February 16, and Hong Kong on March 16. Among the list of places he will also be stopping at include Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, but dates have yet to be announced.

Park Bo Gum is known for starring in Korean dramas 2016’s “Love in the Moonlight,” 2015’s “Reply 1988,” and 2015’s “Hello Monster.” His fans are anticipating his upcoming new drama with Song Hye-kyo entitled “Encounter,” set to premiere on November 28.

The last time the actor visited the Philippines was in 2016, where he was mobbed by fans at the Mactan Cebu International Airport. Photos and videos circulated of fans trying to grab Park Bo Gum as he exited the airport, police force having to be present to ensure safety around the premises. Because the Korean’s intention to Cebu was for vacation, one of his fan accounts attempted to calm the Filipino supporters saying, “Please give him the relaxation and enjoyment that he is looking for in Cebu. Behave and respect his personal space.” In an interview with KPop Herald, Park Bo Gum reveals he was surprised with the attention he got in the country, stating, “I did not have activities in the Philippines before, but many fans recognized me and greeted me with overflowing cheers. I didn’t know that.” However, he added that he “couldn’t have been more pleased” with his visit, exclaiming, “What an escape!”
