Wanting to redeem themselves from back-to-back losses, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers defeated the Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy, who was prior to the match, undefeated, in a three-set game last Thursday, November 15 at the Flying V Filoil Center in the 2018 Philippine Superliga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference.

The game was an upset, as the set scores ended at 25-15, 25-13, 25-13. The Cargo Movers have been looking for a win, with Ara Galang leading the way at 14 tallies off 11 kills, two blocks, and an ace. Majoy Baron and Kim Dy were great contributors as well with 10 and nine hits respectively. As for their opponents, F2 was able to limit all of Foton’s players to no double-digit scorers, Mina Aganon and Shaya Adorador with the most at eight and seven hits respectively. The Cargo Movers’ Maika Ortiz, CJ Rosario, and Bea de Leon who usually performed, unfortunately, scored close to none.

Prior to the match, Foton’s first-year head coach Aaron Velez told the media that they were “sure F2 logistics will come back stronger, especially since they are coming from back-to-back losses,” adding, “We will do our assignment and we will try our best not to be their victim.” In preparation for last Thursday’s game, aware of F2’s strength, he said that they “will focus more on [themselves].”

The next time the Cargo Movers will play is against the Smart Giga Hitters, who is also coming from a victory after back-to-back losses. Their match is set on November 22 at the Flying V Filoil Center. On the other hand, the Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy will try to redeem themselves on November 20 as they face off the Cocolife Asset Managers also at the Flying V Filoil Center.
