Singer Lauv announces return to Manila

American singer-songwriter Ari Staprans Leff, better known for his alias Lauv, announced his upcoming 2019 Asian tour that includes two different dates in the Philippines, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on May 20 and at the Waterfront Hotel on May 21.

The news was first announced on Ovation Productions’ Twitter, posting a photo of the concert poster saying, “Just announced! Pop’s fast-rising heartbreak king Lauv is coming back to the Philippines for the LAUV 2019 Asia Tour! Tickets go on public sale November 23 via Ticketnet for Manila concert and SM Tickets for Cebu Concert.” The company is in charge of organizing the event, pricing tickets ranging from P2,115 to P2,760 for the Manila leg and P795 to P3,700 for the Cebu leg.

Lauv took to Twitter as well to post on his 2019 “Blue Boy” Asia Tour 2019 captioning it, “I’m coming back to Asia!”

The artist with Latvian/Russian decent’s most recent trip to the Philippines was in March 2018 where he both headlined for Wanderland Music and Arts Festival. Previous to that, he also toured in collaboration with Ayala Malls in November 2017.

Besides Manila and Cebu, Lauv will also be visiting Mumbai, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka,Nagoya, and Tokyo  between May 13 to 30, 2019.

He is most known for tracks “I Like Me Better,” “Paris In The Rain,” and most recent hit with more than 38 Spotify plays “There’s No Way” with current girlfriend singer Julia Michaels, Lauv was most recently named number one on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart of 2018. He has kept the top spot for a total of 13 weeks.
