Rains continue over Luzon Sunday

MANILA — The southwest monsoon continuously affecting the western part of Luzon will bring rains over the island on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said monsoon rains will prevail over Ilocos, Cordillera Administrative Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan.

The rest of central Luzon and Cagayan Valley Region, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong to gale winds will blow over northern and central Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be rough to very rough.

Moderate to strong winds will prevail over the rest of Luzon with moderate to rough seas.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
