Miriam Quiambao surprises her social media followers as she delivered a shocking news: she is expecting an addition to her family at the age of 43!

Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up announced this as she posted a photo of her sonogram in Instagram on Sunday, August 19.

Miriam shared that she and her husband, Ardy Roberto, had been trying and praying to have a child for the past four years.

It was in June 2018 when Miriam and Ardy considered the option of adoption or conceiving through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in order to bear a child, but God did the unexpected.

“Praise God who is the author of miracles and the creator of life! By His grace, He rewarded our faith with the greatest gift: a baby conceived naturally!!!” Miriam wrote.

“There is more to this story and will be sharing it in my blog soon! Watch out for it!” she added.

Miriam, who is nine weeks pregnant, then expressed her gratitude to those who prayed for them and asked the public to include her and her family in their prayers.

Her husband, in a separate post, also shared the good news to the world.

“Yes, we’re pregnant. Not just pregnant with hope. But pregnant for real. And naturally conceived,” Ardy said.

Like Miriam, Ardy also shared how adoption and the IVF option was brought into the discussion.

“We’ve been trying to be pregnant since we get married four years ago. Miriam and I had tried IVF two years ago, but it didn’t work for us,” Ardy recalled.

“In her heart, she was still praying for a natural pregnancy. Holding on to God’s promise to her years ago when she was single and contemplating to freeze her eggs on the eve of her 36th birthday,” he continued.

Ardy said they will try IVF and adoption again if Miriam did not get pregnant by her 43rd birthday — but this plan did not push through as days after Miriam’s big day, the couple received the news they have been waiting for years.

“That perfect beautiful morning when Miriam was about to proceed with the IVF prep meds, I asked her to take a pregnancy test, just in case,” he narrated.

Ardy went on saying, “She came out of the toilet giggling and beaming. There were two lines.

“We both giggled like little kids and hopped around, thanking Jesus for this miracle.”

He said they had not planned to make this development public yet, but Miriam already spilled the beans in an interview at the media launch of the Home School Global conference last Friday.

Miriam and Ardy’s social media followers are crazy excited about this good news and congratulated the couple for the blessing they received.
