MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday approved the accreditation of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio’s Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) as regional political party.

“The petition for accreditation granted because party have met the requirements,” Jimenez said in an interview.

This means that the HNP is now recognized as a political party in the Davao region.
