What three little boys knew when they joined the local television singing contest Tawag ng Tanghalan  (Call of the Stage) Kids or TNT Kids in the noontime show It’s Showtime, is that they were on stage for the golden microphone.

What they did not know is that this small stage for their tiny bodies was only their gateway to the international scene.

Francis Concepcion, 11, Mackie Empuerto, 12, and Kiefer Sanchez, 13, collectively known as the TNT Boys sure have reached farther heights more than what their young minds can even imagine. Winning TNT Kids as individual finalists already proved the talents that grew inside of them, but who knew that a guesting could lead them to more international shows?

In an interview with CNN Philippines’ “New Day,” Francis said that it was their rendition of the song “Listen” in the late night comedy talk show Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV) hosted by It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda that went viral and prompted a call from Little Big Shots United Kingdom (UK) and Little Big Shots United States (US).

The boys performed the same song on both Little Big Shots episodes in UK and US last month.

Their US and UK audience were so awed by the performance, that clips of their rendition went viral online as well. Even the Little Big Shots US host Steve Harvey visibly had his mind blown by the little trio.

In an interview with TV Patrol, Mackie said, “Gulat na gulat po siya na mga bata pa po kami pero ‘yun po ang galing po namin kumanta (He was so surprised that even though we are still kids, we excelled at singing).”

But the big reveal was that Steve seemed to want to see them again on the same stage.

Nung aalis na po kami, sabi niya ‘pag merong ano [pagkakataon], balik kayo (When we were about to leave, he told us that if there was a chance, we should come back),” Francis narrated.

Just when things cannot get any better, they even caught the attention of comedian/talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Sharing the clip of their performance, Ellen tweeted, “Beyoncé, I hope you watch Sunday’s episode of Little Big Shots.”
