NAIA, one of the ‘world’s most improved airports’

The Philippine’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) was included in the “most improved” airports this year in the global survey conducted by Skytrax.

In the survey, Rome Fiumicino Airport was named the World’s Most Improved Airport in 2018, with Perth Airport 2nd place, and Calgary International Airport taking 3rd place.

Also included in the list were airports in Taiwan Taoyuan, Athens, Nadi, Montréal, Moscow Sheremetyevo, Houston Intercontinental. NAIA ranked 10th.

The “World’s Most Improved Airport” award is “based on the relative year-on-year Quality performance by all airports featured in the World Airport Survey and takes into account the change in rating together with performance changes across the different product and service categories in the awards.”

Moreover, the most prestigious honor, which is the “World Airport Awards” was given to Singapore Changi Airport. This is their 6th consecutive year receiving the accolade.

Among the top 10 airports were Seoul Incheon, Tokyo Haneda, Hong Kong, Doha Hamad, Munich, Centrair Nagoya, London Heathrow, Zurich and Frankfurt.
