Trudeau meets with Quebec City mayor ahead of evening town hall meeting
QUEBEC — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in Quebec City today as part of his cross-country town hall tour.
Trudeau’s busy schedule began with radio interviews this morning and was followed by a meeting with Mayor Regis Labeaume at city hall.
This evening, the prime minister will field questions from the public at the latest in a series of town hall meetings being held across the country.
Trudeau has faced tough questions as well as the occasional heckler during the first of the public forums, which were held in Nova Scotia and Ontario.
He has said the question-and-answer sessions give him more time to explain his policies than he’d typically have when answering questions from media or during question period.
