Magnitude-4 quake hits Biliran
MANILA — A magnitude-4 earthquake of tectonic origin was recorded Tuesday afternoon at around 3:04 p.m. in Biliran province in the Visayas, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has reported.
Phivolcs said it was not expecting any damage or aftershocks.
However, Intensity 4 was felt in Kawayan and Naval towns of Biliran, while Intensity 3 was also felt in Palanas town of neighboring Masbate province.
Phivolcs also recorded instrumental intensities in Naval, Biliran (Intensity 3); Catbalogan City, Bogo City, Ormoc City (Intensity 2); and Masbate, Palo, Leyte and Borongan City (Intensity 1).
