One teen dead, another in custody following Oshawa, Ont., stabbing
OSHAWA, Ont. — One teenager is dead and another is in custody following a stabbing in Oshawa, Ont., on Thursday afternoon.
Durham Region police say the 17-year male victim died in hospital after being stabbed at about 3 p.m. during what witnesses describe as a “verbal altercation” (in the Harmony Road and Taunton Road area).
A 16-year-old male suspect fled the scene and was arrested at a nearby residence.
Police say charges are pending and are urging witnesses to come forward and report what they saw.
