Love is not the only thing lovelier the second time around, but a wedding as well.

Twenty-five years – a silver hue of love for celebrity couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas is the perfect reason to renew the vows they said in front of the altar 14 years ago.

The original ‘Clara’ in the Mara Clara series in a guesting on Magandang Buhay, gave the audience a peek of the invitation to their second wedding.

“It marks the 25th year of our togetherness,” Gladys clarified that while they have been married for 14 years now, they added their 11 years of being a couple before tying the knot.

’Yung sa akin kasi kasi, hindi sa ano pa man, [pero] gusto kasi naming maging bahagi nito ‘yung mga anak namin. ‘Yung idea lang na kasama na ‘yung mga anak (For me, not just for anything, but I want our children to be part of this. Simply the idea of being with our children),” the actress further said.

For Gladys, it was already a special memory when she dragged her feet on a red carpet while in a white dress with her husband-to-be waiting for her at the end of the altar. However, like puzzle pieces completing their family portrait, the existence of their children that their love gave birth to would make the celebration more special.

At saka (And it is also a) milestone. Bihira lang naman na makakaabot [sa ilang taon ang pagsasama], tsaka ‘di natin alam ano mangyayari sa kinabukasan (Besides it is quite rare for couples to reach years of being together, and we do not really know what will happen in the future),” Gladys said.

While Gladys and Christopher are celebrating their love, she admitted that she is still asking for prayers that they will be blessed in the coming years.

Gladys was a guest together with the original ‘Mara,’ Judy Ann Santos, who also renewed her vows with her husband Ryan Agoncillo in their seventh year of marriage.
