Taking back Canada trash is ‘theoretically possible’, says Trudeau

Published

on

It is now ‘theoretically’ possible for Canada to bring back the loads of trash that were shipped to Philippines in 2013, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday said in a press conference.

Trudeau said that there were “legal impediments” that they had to address first which hindered them from shipping the 103 container vans of garbage back to their country.

“Even though it originally came from Canada, we had legal barriers and restrictions that prevented us from being able to take it back. Those regulations and those impediments have now been addressed, so it is now theoretically possible to get it back,” Trudeau said.

However, Trudeau added that it wouldn’t be very easy to return the tons of trash to Canada as “there are still a number of questions around — who will pay for it, where the financial responsibility is, where the consequences are as this was at its origin a commercial transaction.”

Trudeau stressed that the shipment of garbage to the ports of Manila is not by the Canadian government but by a private business.

Trudeau needs to shut his mouth before he gets us into more trouble. Every time he opens his yap it cost us millions either directly or indirectly.
