Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. guaranteed the government a full hold of his family’s alleged ill-gotten wealth if they find one.

In a forum, Marcos said “If you are looking for hidden wealth and if you are steadfast in your belief that we are hiding something, if you find it it’s yours. It is called in legal terms ‘quitclaim’.

He also expressed his family’s willingness to work with the government in finding the said wealth and whatever can be recovered will all be given back to the government without limitations.

“Because it’s a quitclaim, anything you find, you can have it. That’s the stand. There’s no deadline, no limitation, no qualification, nothing. If you say we kept it, and you find it, we won’t fight it, Marcos said.

Believing that the best way to settle the issue is through a quitclaim, Marcos said that his sister, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos discussed it with President Rodrigo Duterte.

“We are always willing to settle. We can talk about it,” Marcos said.

However, at the moment, there are no agreements made yet between the Marcoses and the Philippine government.

Marcos also said that his family has been trying to pursue the “quitclaim” but former President Fidel V.
