on

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) officer in charge Emmanuel Leyco confirmed that DSWD assistant secretary (Asec) Lorraine Badoy, known to be a staunch defender of Duterte, is set to join at the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) as undersecretary (Usec).

According to Leyco, “Asec Badoy has informed me as OIC-Secretary at DSWD of this development earlier and is now in the process of completing and turning over her responsibilities which is expected to last until the end of the month.”

He also thanked Asec Badoy for her contributions to DSWD and said he is confident she will be able to bring her effectiveness as a communicator to her new assignment as Usec at PCOO.

PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar said that the position was indeed offered to Badoy, however he refused to give further information, saying he would leave to the president the announcement of her new assignment.
