MANILA — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has assured the public that the supply of Noche Buena products remains stable.

Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez said there is no reported shortage of Noche Buena products in the market, a few days before Christmas Day.

This week is crucial in ensuring the supply of Noche Buena items as demand for these products increases during these days, he said.

With the stable supply of these products, there should be no surge in prices of Noche Buena goods in the market.

Lopez said that the agency had been active in market monitoring to assure that the supply and prices of Noche Buena items are stable.

DTI’s Consumer Protection Group, led by Undersecretary Teodoro Pascua, had its special market monitoring activity Thursday morning on Noche Buena products in Manila.

The products being monitored by the DTI include ham, sandwich spread, elbow and salad macaroni, mayonnaise, pasta, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, fruit cocktail, cheese, queso de bola, and creamer. (PNA)
