All Value Holdings to ramp up supermarket expansion in 2018
MANILA — All Value Holdings Corp., the private retail-holding firm of the Villar family, plans to double its supermarket count next year to 26, as it ramps up its retail footprint via All Day Supermarket.
“The All Day supermarkets’ (current number is) 13. I will double that next year to 26,” All Value chairman Manuel Villar Jr. told reporters Tuesday after the opening of its 12th supermarket at Global South Complex in Las Pinas.
Villar said the expansion is part of the group’s efforts to develop its various retail brands and to enhance the value and appeal of their real estate developments.
He did not identify possible locations of the supermarkets planned for construction in 2018.
The company will open its 13th store this week in Libis, Quezon City.
Aside from All Day supermarket, the 20,000-square-meter Global South Complex also houses the retail holding firm’s AllHome, the country first and only full-line home center; Coffee Project store, and Bake My Day.
