3 weather systems affecting PH: PAGASA
MANILA — Three weather systems are affecting the country, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour weather forecast, a trough of a low pressure area (LPA) continues to affect the eastern section of Mindanao, bringing scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms in that part of the country while the tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of northern and central Luzon.
Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Cetral Luzon, Rizal and Northern Quezon, including Polillo Island will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the tail-end of a cold front.
Caraga and Davao region is affected by cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorm due to trough of LPA, while Ilocos region will have cloudy skies due to the northeast monsoon.
Meanwhille, tropical storm “Urduja” (international name Kai-Tak) is now at 540 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa, Palawan with maximum winds of 65 km/h and gusts of up to 80 km/h.
