MANILA — Wushu Federation of the Philippines secretary general Julian Camacho will meet with Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chair William “Butch” Ramirez to talk about the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

Camacho has been designated chef de mission of Team Philippines in the 18th Asian Games to be held in Jakarta and Palembang from Aug. 18 to Sept. 2 next year.

Camacho, who is also the treasurer of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), said no specific date has been set as to when the meeting will be.

“It was a busy week during the ASEAN Summit. If the PSC chairman is available next week, we can meet so I can update him on the preparations we are doing with regards to Team Philippines,” said Camacho in an interview on Saturday.

Camacho said the criteria to determine who will join the Asian Games-bound contingent have already been set.

“The criteria will be discussed during the POC Executive Board meeting on Nov. 23,” Camacho said.

Meanwhile, Camacho and his deputy chef de mission, Princess Jacel Kiram of pencak silat, will attend the 2018 Asian Games first Chef de Mission Meeting in Indonesia next month.

The meeting will be held on Dec. 13 in Jakarta and Dec. 14 in Palembang. (PNA)
