MANILA— Defending champion Foton played true to form on Saturday to prevail over Generika-Ayala, 25-22, 25-22, 25-16, in the Chooks to-Go Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix at the University of St. La Salle in Bacolod City.

Serbian import Sara Klisura had 15 kills and three aces in leading the Tornadoes to their third win. Locals Jaja Santiago, Maika Ortiz and import Dragana Perunicic from Montenegro chipped in eight points each.

Foton coach Moro Branislav said he wanted his team to get better.

“I’m not very happy with the result. The team still needs to get better. We want to be in good condition by the quarterfinals. Maybe if we get a 3-0 win in quarterfinals, I’ll be happier,” said Branislav in a statement released by the PSL to the media Sunday.
