Nope. AshMatt (a ‘love team’ call for Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli) is not happening according to the singer-actor, but fans should not fret.

In a press conference for Matteo’s album and concert, he emphasized that his love life shared with his girlfriend, Sarah Geronimo is not meant for the big screen or the people’s personal screens but for something more between the two of them.

Matteo’s story was that whenever people ask him about his girlfriend, they often mistaken them as a ‘love team’ – something that he wishes to spell out as something more.

“I just want to clarify we’re never a love team. We don’t work together because we don’t want people to say ‘Ah they’re using each other,’” Matteo said.

He revealed that ‘more than ten offers’ of projects for them to work together received a ‘no’ from him and Sarah.

“We want to save our relationship. We know the true meaning of our relationship. It’s not showbiz, it’s real. We want to protect that, and we want to really save that,” Matteo highlighted.

Though the two are working on separate projects, the couple has been dating for more than three years, supporting each other’s ongoing works privately.

This is not the first time for Matteo to openly claim that their relationship is ‘not just of a love team’ as he has echoed this in a launching on February.

“Sarah and I don’t work together and we’re not going to work together. We just want to do things differently and separately,” he said.

In the same event, he said that trust is the open secret to a stronger and longer relationship.
