Isolated rainshowers to prevail over PH Wednesday
MANILA, Aug. 9 — The whole archipelago will experience isolated rainshowers on Wednesday as the southwest monsoon affects extreme Northern Luzon and the ridge of a high pressure area is affecting Luzon and the Visayas, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, and chances of occasional heavy rains and gusty winds due to thunderstorms, according to PAGASA.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southwest over extreme Northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Light to moderate winds will blow from south to southwest over the rest of Luzon and the Visayas, and from southeast to south over Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (MCCA/PNA)
