Aftershocks, damage unlikely from Bohol quake
MANILA— The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) is not expecting any aftershock or damage from the magnitude 4.1 earthquake in Bohol province this week.
Data released by Phivolcs on Thursday showed the earthquake of tectonic origin struck at 10:08 p.m. Wednesday at 5 km. south, 27 degrees west of Bohol’s Guindulman municipality.
The quake struck at a depth of 11 km.
According to Phivolcs, the tremor was reported at intensity III in Guindulman, Duero, Anda, Jagna and Mabini, and at intensity II in Alicia, Garcia Hernandez and Ubay, all in Bohol, as well as in Mambajao in Camiguin province.
