Pres. Duterte back in PHL
MANILA— President Rodrigo Duterte has arrived in Manila from Moscow at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
President Duterte left Moscow at 1:38 a.m. Wednesday (Moscow time) or 6:38 a.m. in Manila.
The Chief Executive flew back to Manila and cut short his four-day official visit in Russia after declaring martial law in Mindanao on Tuesday while still in Moscow.
Before leaving Russia, President Duterte had bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the bilateral meeting, President Duterte has requested President Putin to grant the Philippines a soft loan to purchase firearms to combat terrorism, particularly in Mindanao.
