BIÑAN CITY–James Younghusband kept Meralco Manila unscathed as the club walked away with a 1-0 victory over JPV Marikina in a special PFL match at the Biñan Football Stadium on Saturday night.

While credited as a Marikina home game with the Marikina Sports Complex is still unavailable, it seemed like Manila is comfortable playing at the said pitch as the squad posted its second win in the said venue two weeks after blasting Stallion Laguna, which calls the pitch home, in the league opener.

The older Younghusband headed the ball into the goalmouth in the 63rd minute following a corner kick from younger brother Phil.

Meralco Manila, however, had to hold off a late charge by JPV Marikina in the endgame to preserve its third win in as many matches.
