MANILA—Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Thursday advised the 98 new members of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) “Masidlak Class 2017” not to choose assignment as new policemen.

Dela Rosa made the advice during the conduct of the “Badge of Honor Ceremony” in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

The PNP chief also reminded the new policemen to wear their new badge with pride.

Dela Rosa told the new policemen not to approach the politicians to get the assignment they want.

He stressed that it could not be ascertained if the luck is in the assignment like him, who was then very much liked to be assigned in the Special Action Force (SAF) but he was assigned in Davao City and where he would be destined to be the chief of the PNP.

Likewise, Dela Rosa told the policemen to train in their new firearms or always train in “dry fire” to make sure that when the necessity comes, they will be alive and the criminals will be dead.
