Ginebra sizzles in Q3 to keep NLEX winless

MANILA–Ginebra needed a huge third quarter lift to outgun NLEX, 101-92, in the nightcap of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup twinbill at the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay on Wednesday.

The Barangay outscored the Road Warriors, 42-14, in the third canto to break out of a close first half en route to the rout.

Justin Brownlee and Joe Devance each chipped in 18 markers for Ginebra, which moved up to 3-1.

Wayne Chism led NLEX, which further slipped to 0-7, with 16 points, eight rebounds, one assist, and two steals, but he was credited for six of the team’s 23 total turnovers.
