Oil firms cut pump prices of diesel, kerosene

MANILA–Oil-firms will rollback prices of diesel by 25 centavos per liter and kerosene by 15 centavos per liter on Tuesday.

In separate advisories, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Seaoil Philippines Inc. and Flying V said they would apply the price movements on March 28.

Petron and Seaoil will implement the price changes at 12:01 a.m., while Shell will reduce its prices at 6 a.m.

Phoenix Petroleum and Eastern Petroleum, meanwhile, will lower diesel prices by 25 centavos per liter. Phoenix will apply the changes at 6 a.m., while Eastern Petroleum will move prices at 12:01 a.m.

The oil firms will not change gasoline prices this week.

Gasoline prices currently range from Php 42.60-45.60 per liter, while diesel prices play between Php 30.45-33.95 per liter, according to the Energy Department’s oil monitor for Metro Manila.
