Dela Rosa reveals new appointees to PNP’s top posts

MANILA–Police Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario is now the second highest official of the Philippine National Police (PNP) following the retirement of Deputy Director General Francisco Uyami Jr.

This was divulged by PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in a press conference in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Monday.

Dela Rosa also announced the new appointees to the highest positions in the PNP.

Deputy Director General Fernando Mendez Jr. will fill up the position vacated by Apolinario as Deputy Director General for Operations.

Police Director Archie Gamboa will serve as the chief of The Chief Directorial Staff (TCDS).

Police Director Ramon Purugganan will also move as chief of the PNP Directorate for Comptrollership (DC).

On the other hand, Director Rene Aspera will serve as the chief of the Directorate for Personnel Records and Management (DPRM).

Director Joel Garcia is the new director of the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG).
