PNP-CITF NHQ now 100% operational
MANILA—The Philippine National Police Counter-Intelligence Task Force (PNP-CITF) National Headquarters (NHQ) in Camp Crame, Quezon City is now 100-percent operational.
PNP-CITF spokesman Chief Insp. Jewel Nicanor on Friday said they have completed the recruitment of 100 personnel assigned to the NHQ who will concentrate in running after scalawag policemen in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Nicanor added that they are now working on the establishment of regional CITF Headquarters (HQ) for their nationwide operations, with 90 personnel assigned in Luzon, 60 in the Visayas and 40 in Mindanao.
The PNP-CITF official said they have nearly completed the recruitment of the 90 personnel to be part of CITF-Luzon.
Nicanor added that the operations of the regional units could possibly begin in May this year.
As of Friday, the complaints involving policemen outside of the NCR are temporarily being forwarded by the CITF to the regional directors concerned for appropriate action until the respective CITF regional units have become operational.
