MANILA–An assistant secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has died of a heart attack, DTI Regional Operations Group (ROG) Undersecretary Zenaida Maglaya confirmed Thursday.

DTI-ROG Assistant Secretary Christopher Albert Naga, 31 years old, died last Tuesday, Maglaya said, noting that Naga was the youngest assistant secretary to be appointed at the DTI.

He was responsible for marketing and business development in key programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), such as One Town, One Product (OTOP) and Go Lokal!

He also chaired the DTI-ROG’s Communications Group.

Naga joined the department in September last year.
