Pres. Duterte receives credentials of 3 new ambassadors

MANILA –President Rodrigo Roa Duterte welcomed on Tuesday three new ambassadors to the Philippines.

In a ceremony at the Reception Hall of the Malacañan Palace, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Designate Asad Alam Siam of Bangladesh presented his credentials to the President.

President Duterte also received the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Designate Ly Qouc Tuan of Vietnam.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Designate Ahmed Abdelaziz Ezzat of Egypt also submitted his credentials to the President.

President Duterte then met with each ambassador right after the submission of credentials at the Music Room.

The new ambassadors were accorded with arrival honors at the Kalayaan grounds prior to the ceremony.

A signing of the guest book followed at the Ante Hall Room of Malacañan Palace.

The presentation of credentials to the president of host country is a diplomatic requirement for newly-appointed ambassadors before they begin their tour of duty.
