5.4-magnitude quake hits 42km of Opotiki, New Zealand: USGS
NEW YORK—An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale jolted 42 kilometers ENE of Opotiki, New Zealand at 21:00:15 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 54.14 km, was initially determined to be at 37.94 degrees south latitude and 177.73 degrees east longitude.
