TEHRAN—Iranian Foreign Ministerc said Wednesday that Iran is open to economic relations with the United States despite the existing differences between the two countries, Tasnim news agency reported.

“We are interested in expanding our relations with the EU… and we are open to economic relations even with the U.S.,” Zarif said addressing the World Economic Forum underway in the Swiss city of Davos.

“While we have our political differences with the U.S., we are not closed to economic relations (with it).” He also mentioned the recent deal with the Boeing, saying that it indicates Iran’s will for engagement with the U.S. companies.

Iran sealed the deal with the Boeing in December to buy 80 planes within 10 years. The first deliveries are expected in 2018.
