MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said that they have not received any threats during the long weekend and observance of ‘Undas’ (All Saints’ Day).

This as PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa has earlier placed the entire 170,000-strong police force on full alert status for the said period.

In a press conference in Camp Crame, Quezon City, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Spokesperson Chief Insp. Kim Molitas said that they have not received any threats in Metro Manila.

“We have not been receiving any threats. Our security in Metro Manila is okay,” Molitas said.

However, Molitas said, they are not discounting that (threat) aspect.

“We have our EOD (Explosives and Ordnance Division), K-9 (bomb-sniffing dogs) and SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics Team) who will be with us during the Undas observation,” she said.

The NCRPO official assured that they are on full alert while the residents of Metro Manila are on vacation.
