VP Binay calls for clean and fair elections

MANILA–United Nationalists Alliance (UNA) standard bearer and Vice President Jejomar Binay on Saturday calls for a clean and fair elections during their miting de avance at Lawton Avenue corner JP Rizal St. and Kalayaan Avenue in Makati City.

Binay addressed President Benigno Simeon Aquino III and the Commissions on Elections to remove the doubt and fear of the people from the possibility of manipulation on elections.

Along with Binay, the rest of Team UNA is present including its vice-presidential bet Sen. Gringo Honasan, senatorial candidates and local candidates of Makati.

Despite being fourth in several presidential surveys, VP Binay was still confident that he would be the first president from Makati City.

According to Binay, as he roam around the country, he was able to talk to different sectors and all of them said that their votes wouldill go for him.

Binay also said that he was expecting an estimated sum of 15 million votes.

Meanwhile, Binay also addressed to his rivals that they should have the desire to have a clean and fair elections.

On the other hand, Binay encouraged the people to be more aware and watchful before, during and after the May 9 polls.

“My fellowmen, please ready your cellphones to take and use it for all instances, we need to be aware against the possibility of negativities that will be part of our country’s history” Binay noted.

Binay himself said that he will be personally mindful of the elections results.

“On Monday, it will be the day of our freedom, our freedom to vote our chosen leader without the influence of others aside from our conscience”, Binay addressed to Filipinos.

Two days before the May 9 national and local elections, Binay is looking forward for his victory and the rest of Team UNA.
