MANILA – Kapamilya actress Claudine Barretto and her estranged husband, Raymart Santiago, are not in a hurry with their annulment case after reconciling and becoming ‘friends’ again.

Hindi pa rin kami nagstart sa annulment. So, stop muna kami sa annulmentKami ni Raymart ngayon, were really very good friends. Were really trying our best to be good parents. Kasi nga, nagfail na kami as husband and wife sa mga anak namin so we dont wanna fail as parents naman,” Barretto said in a press conference.

(We haven’t started with the annulment yet. So, we’ll stop the annulment for now… Raymart and I, we’re really very good friends. We’re really trying our best to be good parents.

Because, we already failed as husband and wife to our children so we don’t wanna fail as parents this time.

(We agreed to stop all the cases and start co-parenting in raising our kids instead… I told him, ‘What now?  Will we have an annulment? Do you already have a girlfriend?’ He said, he won’t get married again. I said, ‘Same with me.’)

Barretto and Santiago have then decided not to have an annulment anytime soon. The 36-year-old actress, however, clarified that they are not getting back together but are ‘trying to be the best of friends for our kids.’
